Each term, Wolfson College’s President, Sir Tim Hitchens, hosts a seminar where three members of the College—representing different academic levels (a Governing Body Fellow, a Junior Research Fellow, and a Graduate Student)—share their perspectives on a common theme, drawing from their own research or field of study.

Brennan Delattre is a PhD student. Her research interests lie primarily at the intersection of social psychology and intervention science. She is investigating the potential benefits of cooperative, social movement-based activities for people with low mood, depression and loneliness. She hopes to translate this research into various applications within NHS mental health systems.

Dr Caroline Wanjiku Kihato is a Visiting Fellow at ODID and a Research Associate at the African Centre for Migration in Society at Wits University. She is also the founder and director of Frame45, a social enterprise that uses storytelling and organisational ecosystem strategy to bridge the gap between research and social justice. Her career has involved both teaching and conducting research in the academy and the non-profit sector in Southern and Eastern Africa.

Dr. Carlos Garcia-Garcia is Beecroft Fellow at the Astrophysics department. He uses the distribution of galaxies, their shape and light emitted by gas in the Universe to investigate the nature of dark energy and Gravity at cosmological scales. He is leading the main analysis working group of Vera C. Rubin Observatory and member of Euclid, big international collaborations that will observe billions of galaxies in the next decade, and will profoundly shape our understanding of the Universe.
