Biography: Sharon Gia Chen is a student at the University of Oxford pursuing an MPhil in Social Anthropology. Gia Chen graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2023 with a B.A in Anthropology, a B.M in Violin Performance, and a minor in Ethnic Studies. Her research focuses on the questions of ritual efficacy in western hermeticism, the effect of the community in esoteric societies, and the intellectual atmosphere surrounding esoteric studies. Outside of academics, her hobbies include yoga, Chinese dance, and video games. Gia is one of the founders of the Wolfson Yoga Society!
