Carmen Galan-Marin is Full Professor of Construction Technology and Sustainable Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Seville, where she leads a multidisciplinary research group: SATH Sustainability in Architecture, Technology and Heritage involved in urban climate adaptation, linking urban intervention strategies to outdoor thermal comfort citizens perception. Her research is dedicated to addressing societal needs and focuses on areas such as analysis and simulations, environmental assessments, applications of innovative materials and construction systems, as well as the evaluation of prototypes and passive energy-saving strategies in buildings.
