Professor Jonathan Austyn was appointed Lecturer in Transplant Immunology, and a Fellow of Wolfson College, in 1983 and was made Professor of Immunobiology in late 1990s. His current work focuses on how DC can be used or modulated for therapeutic purposes. For example, to boost vaccines against cancers and infectious diseases or to suppress autoimmune diseases and transplant rejection.
