Wolfson JRF appointed to Regional Studies Association Editorship

Wolfson JRF Gaurav Mittal has been appointed to the position of Early Career Editor of Territory, Politics, Governance, an interdisciplinary journal committed to the development of theory and research in territorial politics and the governance of space.

The journal welcomes submissions from all disciplines that make theoretical contributions to the intersections of territory, politics, economy, identity, and the organisation of political space. The editorial team particularly encourages graduate students and early career scholars to submit their work, ensuring these submissions receive extra care and timely handling without compromising the rigour required for publishing high-quality research.

Gaurav is happy to speak with Wolfson students who are considering submitting their work to the journal.

Of his appointment, Guarav says, “Joining the editorial team of Territory, Politics, Governance is both an honour and a responsibility I deeply value. As an urban political geographer from the Global South in a Global North institution, I am committed to fostering critical, inclusive, and innovative scholarship that addresses the pressing global challenges of our time. In a world where ideas of territory, sovereignty, and governance are continually evolving amidst climate emergencies and social justice movements, this journal provides a vital platform for emerging voices and interdisciplinary dialogue. I look forward to contributing to its legacy by championing diverse perspectives, theoretical experimentation, and thought-provoking conversations that push the boundaries of our field.”
