Wolfson Student wins at Enspire All-Innovate 2025
Wolfson College is proud to celebrate the entrepreneurial success of Yanni Zhou at the annual All-Innovate competition with her innovative venture, Oeuvre.
The winning idea
Yanni, along with co-founder Tiffany Truong (St. Edmund Hall), started Ouvre with the aim of boosting engagement and access to art through fractional ownership of artworks.
The platform not only facilitates investment in art but also allows members to connect, engage and receive education in art history and finance. Additionally, Oeuvre is exploring the integration of social prescribing services to enhance user well-being.
Reflecting on the journey, Zhou who is a second year Mphil. student in Islamic Art and Architecture, said:
“Completing the All-Innovate workshops and competition has been a truly rewarding and validating process. I am really grateful for the support from my co-founder, friends, and family. It makes me realise the biggest assets in my life are the support system you have and those who stick around for you.”
What is All-Innovate?
The All-Innovate competition, encourage students and staff at the University of Oxford to develop an entrepreneurial skill set and generate business ideas. Participants develop and present their innovative ideas, gaining new skills and networking with other entrepreneurs. The winning teams are then awarded funding to bring their ventures to fruition.
The Rise of Fractional Art Ownership
Fractional art ownership, as championed by Oeuvre, is gaining traction as a method to make high-value artworks accessible to a broader audience. By allowing individuals to purchase shares in artworks, this model opens up the art market to those who might otherwise be excluded.
