Supporting our students is a priority for Wolfson College and in recent years the College has been focused on increasing the scholarship support available.

General Information

Applications for all scholarships should be submitted to the University of Oxford under the standard procedure before the December or January deadline, whichever is relevant to your course. Unless specifically stated below, scholarships do not require a separate application in order for applicants to be considered.

Students applying for UKRI (UK Research and Innovation) graduate funding may also be considered for a Wolfson-partnered UKRI award. Preference will be given to applicants who have listed Wolfson as their first-choice college when two (or more) candidates are of equal academic merit. As there are specific eligibility requirements for UKRI awards, information should be sought from the department, faculty or the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT).

Many of Wolfson’s scholarships are partnered with the Oxford University Clarendon Fund. You will be automatically considered for Clarendon if you apply by the December or January deadline, whichever is relevant to your course. You do not need to submit a separate application. Clarendon scholars are selected for their outstanding academic merit and potential, and are therefore highly competitive. More information on the Clarendon Fund can be found here.

Any queries about Wolfson scholarships can be directed to the Academic Registrar.

The Oxford Wolfson Marriott Scholarships have been made possible by a donation from the late Dr Francis Marriott, who was a University Lecturer and Fellow of Wolfson from 1970 until his death in 2012, alongside support from departments and faculties.

Oxford Wolfson Marriott Graduate Scholarships are currently being finalised for 2025-26 entry. We anticipate being able to award scholarships in the following degree subjects, subject to confirmation:

  • English
  • Computer Science
  • Anthropology/Migration Studies
  • Islamic Art and Architecture

Further information will be available once awards have been confirmed by the end of October 2024.

Wolfson College is a partner to the University’s Academic Futures scheme, which offers fully-funded scholarships to both postgraduate research and taught students across three programme streams which target under-represented groups.

More information on Academic Futures, including detailed information on each stream, eligibility, value of award and application process, can be found here.

Wolfson College is a partner to the University’s Palestine Crisis Scholarship Scheme, which provides access to higher education to students displaced by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the West Bank through the provision of full graduate scholarships to study at Oxford.
