Wolfson College, University of Oxford, seeks to appoint an experienced Maintenance Supervisor who will lead our busy Maintenance Team to continue providing a high standard of service in a thriving College environment. The role is full time and permanent.
Our Maintenance Team provides services to our student accommodation, guest rooms, offices, meeting rooms, nursery and all other areas of the College. All members of the team deliver general maintenance services and participate in the emergency call-out rota.
Main duties of the role include the day-to-day organising and management of the Maintenance Team, supervising contractors, monitoring the quality of their work, and assisting the Estates Manager in a range of duties related to minor works as well as some larger projects. As part of the team, the Maintenance Supervisor will participate in the call-out rota.
The ideal candidate will have extensive general maintenance knowledge and experience and proven ability to manage a team effectively. They will be familiar with statutory ACOPs, building regulations, COSHH and Health and Safety regulations and practices. They will be able to communicate positively and effectively, and develop good relationships with colleagues from different departments. They will remain courteous, calm and composed at all times.
